The President of the National Council of the Slovak Republic announced the elections to the National Council of the Slovak Republic by his decree No. 279/2002 (Digest) of 6 June 2002. He stipulated the day of elections for Friday, 20 September and Saturday, 21 September 2002. The elections will be carried out in line with the Law No. 80/1990 (Digest) on Elections to the Slovak National Council with subsequent amendments.
